Job summary

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI software development for winches, cranes, propulsion, VFD/inverter tuning, and rigorous testing before shipboard installation. Travel for on-site commissioning is required.

Qualifications

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineer to design, code, and commission the control systems for our marine electrical equipment. You will be responsible for integrating PLC/inverter drive logic with real-world mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient marine operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Logic Programming: Develop and maintain PLC and HMI software for marine winches, cranes, and propulsion systems.
• Drive Integration: Configure and fine-tune variable frequency drives (VFDs) and inverter systems to optimize equipment performance.
• System Testing: Conduct rigorous functional testing and simulation of control logic before shipboard installation.
• Commissioning: Provide technical support during on-site commissioning, including troubleshooting hardware-software interface issues on vessels.
• Documentation: Maintain precise records of software versions, parameter settings, and technical manuals for equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
