Job summary

Woodlands Health in Singapore is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to process patient specimens and manage data in the laboratory information system. You will support junior staff and pathologists across pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical stages.

Responsibilities include performing tests, reviewing results, calibrating equipment, participating in quality assurance, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical science or equivalent is required or Diploma with at least 6 years’ experience and proven competency.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a clinical microbiology and/or molecular laboratory.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and analyser operation preferred.
• ASCPi certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on patient specimens according to approved policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review, verify, validate and certify test results, including critical values.
• Review clinical history to support result interpretation.
