Responsibilities

• Receive laboratory specimens and reject unsuitable ones.
• Operate the Laboratory Information System for order entry, receipt, results, and queries.
• Sort specimens and dispatch to correct benches; perform simple processing.
• Move specimens for in-house and send-out tests; ensure proper packing.
• Handle enquiries at reception and respond to customers promptly.
• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with protocols; report results.
• Alert personnel for critical values and maintain QC.
• Undertake preventive maintenance and notify when instruments malfunction.
• Assist with staff rostering and training as required.
