Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Metrology & Real-Time Defect Analysis (MRDA) Technician to support semiconductor process monitoring and defect detection using advanced inspection and measurement technologies.

You will collect, monitor, and analyze data to back engineering decisions and manufacturing excellence. The role involves operating metrology equipment, trend analysis, and assisting defect investigations while maintaining compliance with procedures and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Able to work 12 hour shifts.
• Basic analytical and measurement skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Data interpretation capability.
• Familiarity with technical equipment.

Job Summary

As a Metrology & Real-Time Defect Analysis (MRDA) Technician, you will support semiconductor process monitoring and defect detection activities using advanced inspection and measurement technologies.

You will help ensure product quality by collecting, monitoring, and analyzing measurement data that supports engineering decisions and manufacturing excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate metrology and inspection equipment.
• Perform measurements according to established procedures.
• Monitor tool health and measurement performance.
• Collect and organize inspection and defect data.
• Support engineers in defect investigations and root cause analysis activities.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and recovery activities.

• Ensure compliance with operational and quality procedures.

Other & AI Responsibilities

• Utilize AI-assisted and data analytics tools to improve data analysis efficiency.
• Support defect reduction and process optimization initiatives.

Candidate Profile / Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
