Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field; candidates with strong experience may be considered.
• Experience in metal recycling yards, scrap-metal trading, or waste-management environments.
• Knowledge of ferrous/non-ferrous metals and related grades.
• Experience with inventory control, weighing, storage, and material handling.
• Familiarity with recycling-yard equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard operations: receiving, sorting, weighing, storage, and dispatch.
• Supervise workers and site personnel, ensuring productivity and discipline.
• Enforce safety standards, PPE usage, housekeeping, and risk controls.
• Plan manpower, schedules, and priorities for smooth operations.
• Coordinate with transporters, suppliers, and internal teams on movement and loading.
• Maintain accurate records of stock, materials, and weights; report to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve layout, reduce losses, and boost recovery.
• Handle routine maintenance checks of machinery and equipment.
