Job summary

E-CONTRACT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Metal Processing & Quality Assistant to support metal processing, inspection and warehouse operations.

You will cut metals, operate band saws, read drawings, measure with precision tools and ensure traceability. Prior experience in metal cutting or quality inspection is preferred, with ERP and MS Office familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage
• 1–3 years of experience in metal cutting, production or quality inspection is preferred
• Candidates without direct metal cutting experience may also be considered
• Experience operating industrial saws is an advantage
• Familiar with precision measuring instruments
• Able to read basic engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Good communication skills in English
• Forklift licence is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Cut steel, aluminium and other metal materials according to customer orders and required dimensions
• Operate band saws, cold saws and other cutting equipment
• Read cutting lists and basic engineering drawings
• Measure materials accurately using measuring tools
• Load and unload materials safely
• Assist with packing and general warehouse duties
• Maintain cutting machinery and keep the work area clean and safe
• Inspect raw materials according to quality and customer requirements
• Perform final inspection and dispatch inspection
• Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials
• Use vernier calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges and measuring tapes
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation
• Work with internal departments to resolve quality-related issues
