Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Systems Developer (Java | MES) to develop, test, and deploy in-house systems supporting manufacturing operations. You will participate in system design aligned with shopfloor processes and drive continuous improvement in MES performance and quality.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with Solutioning and SA teams, and ensure proper SDLC practices while maintaining systems and data extraction for production needs.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of system development experience, preferably with Java, database scripting, MES systems, and PL/SQL.
• 3 to 5 years designing or developing mid-to-large manufacturing applications or MES setup/migration projects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work overtime during urgent situations, including nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy in-house systems to support business operations and meet customer requirements.
• Participate in system design aligned with shopfloor and business processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in system performance, quality, and responsiveness for manufacturing systems (MES, warehouse, shopfloor).
• Mentor junior team members to strengthen the DevOps team and follow SDLC processes.
• Collaborate with Solutioning and SA teams to develop new functionalities, conduct unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
• Assess project feasibility, provide realistic estimates, and update the IT project team on timelines.
• Maintain source code, IT manifest repository, and adhere to SDLC processes.
• Perform system analysis and propose practical solutions.
• Provide backup support for various systems and extract production-related data when needed.
