Job summary

Straits Construction Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Site Coordinator to support electrical & mechanical coordination on residential and public projects in Singapore.

You will conduct pre-inspections, manage scheduling, coordinate daily site activities, handle documentation, and liaise with workers and suppliers while ensuring safety and quality on site. Travel to project sites around Singapore may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/ Building Service.
• Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in public (HDB) and private residential projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Independent and team player, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; BIM experience is advantageous.
• Willing to travel to project site offices around Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-inspections with subcontractors.
• Execute site works according to micro scheduling.
• Ensure daily site coordination is followed.
• Conduct internal quality pre-inspection checks with subcontractors.
• Perform daily inventory checks.
• Plan and manage site storage.
• Manage and liaise with workers.
• Control and minimize wastage.
• Receive materials from suppliers.
• Maintain site records (daily journal, concrete cubes, DO, etc.).
• Perform other works as instructed.
• Ensure activities are conducted in a safe working environment.
• Identify and resolve site issues.
• Ensure all defects are rectified to quality standards.
• Perform other adhoc duties as assigned.

• To conduct pre-inspection with sub-con.


• To carry out site works according to micro scheduling.


• To ensure site carry out according to daily site coordination.


• To conduct internal quality pre-inspection check with subcon.


• Inventory check on daily basis.


• Planning and manage site storage.


• To manage and liaise with workers.


• Control and minimize wastages.


• Receiving materials from suppliers.


• To keep site records (daily journal, concrete cubes, DO, etc. whichever applicable).


• To carry out any other works as instructed


• Ensure work activities are carried out in safe working environment.


• Ability to identify and resolve any site issues faced at the work site.


• Ensure all defects reported are rectified with quality.


• Other adhoc duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor/ Management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering/ Building Service. Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination will be an advantage.


• Preferably with three (3) years relevant experience in public (HDB) and private residential projects.


• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.


• An independent, also be able to work in team, can cope in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated and a good team player.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of BIM would be an advantage.


• Willing to travel around project site offices within Singapore.
