Job summary

Penta-Ocean Construction Company Limited is seeking an experienced M&E coordinator to lead coordination, inspection, and commissioning of building services on site. You will review CSD, manage M&E interfaces with architecture and structure, and liaise with authorities to ensure timely approvals.

You will drive digital delivery, attend technical meetings, and support the Project Manager with schedules and status reporting while ensuring HSE compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of site work experience in related field.
• Experience in local construction industry with GM 2021, DfMA.
• Experience coordinating building services and supervising site operation.
• Familiar with Digital Delivery and site workflow.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor shop drawings and materials submission, and construction programme for approval by Consultants.
• Coordinate and review CSD for all M&E services with architectural and structural works, identifying and resolving M&E clashes before site installation.
• Coordinate with Authorities (LTA, SMRT, PUB), Consultants, subcontractors, and BIM/CAD teams to ensure CSD is approved and updated.
• Lead M&E builders’ work coordination for openings, sleeves, and access panels to avoid rework.
• Ensure site installation follows the approved CSD and coordinate any changes accordingly.
• Lead and monitor site activities such as inspections, measurements, and supervision to meet specs and programs.
• Attend audit interviews and weekly/technical meetings and support PM with schedule data and status reports.
• Prepare daily/site diary and weekly reports; support safety team to ensure works meet HSE requirements.
• Liaise with authorities/subcontractors/clients on M&E inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning requirements.
• Plan and lead all M&E inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning; prepare handover to Client operations team.
• Perform other duties as required by Management.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsible to prepare and monitor shop drawing and materials submission,

construction programme for approval by the Consultants.

• Coordinate and review CSD for all M&E services with architectural and structural works,

identify and resolve M&E clashes and interface issues before site installation.

• Coordinate with Authorities(LTA, SMRT, PUB), Consultants, subcontractors, and BIM/CAD

teams to ensure CSD is approved and updated.

• Coordinate M&E builders’ work requirements such as openings, sleeves, supports, and

access panels earlier to avoid the rework.

• Ensure site installation follows the approved CSD and coordinate any changes accordingly.

• To lead, coordinate and monitor site activities such as inspection, site measurement, and

supervision of works to comply with specification, drawings, and programs.

• To attend audit interviews and morning TBM, all projects meeting i.e. weekly technical

meeting, progress meeting, safety meeting, and sub-contractors’ meetings.

• To support the Project Manager to prepare and update project schedule data and project

status report.

• Prepare daily report, site diary and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly

recorded. To support safety team by ensuring that the works complied with site HSE

requirements.

• To liaise and collaborate with relevant authorities/ subcontractors/ clients on M&E services

inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning requirements.

• Responsible to plan and lead all the M&E services inspection, quality checks, testing, and

commissioning.

• Responsible to plan co-ordinate the project for handing over to the Client operation

team.

• To perform any other duties as required by the Management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical),

or equivalent.

• At least 10 years of site work experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Must have experience in local construction industry (familiar with GM 2021, DfMA, etc).

• Having good experience in co-ordination of building services and supervision of site

operation.

• Familiar with Digital Delivery and site workflow

• Able to work independently.
