Job summary

St. Andrew’s Nursing Home (Taman Jurong) in Singapore seeks a Programme Executive to provide overall programme and administrative support for the Centre.

The role requires empathy and understanding of behaviours of persons with mental health issues and involves caring interactions with clients and caregivers. The incumbent will assist in daily activities, accompany clients on outings, organise events, and support life skills training, with additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Diploma is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar role.
• Passion to work with persons with mental health issues.
• Empathic and patient.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with collaborative attitude.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of daily activities planned for the day centre.
• Accompany clients on outings and excursions.
• Ensure that programmes are managed and continued.
• Assist and contribute towards improvement of activities that clients prefer.
• Conduct activities such as Art & Craft, cooking or domestic craft, outdoor or indoor games, or computer sessions.
• Assist with organizing outings, festive celebrations and other events.
• Assist with providing life skills/functional-skills training and vocational skills training to clients.
• Provide other related duties/services as assigned by supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings, training, etc as required.
• Answer general enquiries - calls/walk-in.
• Perform general office tasks including photocopying, filing, contacting caregivers, mailings, invoicing, collection of fees, etc.
