in Singapore seeks a Biomedical Lab Technician to perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues, providing accurate data for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring, in line with SOPs and MOH regulations. The candidate must hold a Diploma in Biomedical Science or Medical Technology, have at least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, be computer literate with basic ULTRA LIS knowledge, and be willing to work 5.5 days per week with

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Science/ Medical Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab.
• Computer literacy with basic knowledge of Ultra LIS (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues.
• Adhere to SOPs and MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation; ensure QA/QC procedures.
• Correlate clinical information and report discrepancies to HOD.
• Consult with HOD when no preset criteria are available before acting.
• Participate in developmental work on new tests and in continuing education programs.

Job Description

• Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues to provide accurate data for optimal diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of disease states.
• Perform routine laboratory test procedures as outlined in the established SOPs and according to MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation. Adhere to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.
• Correlate clinical information and/or previous lab results and reports discrepancies to HOD.
• Consult with HOD when no preset criteria for decision making are available before taking action
• Participate in developmental work on new tests
• Participate in established TQM activities, QC testing of lab reagents and maintenance of equipment.
• Attend and participates in continuing education programs to monitor proficiency, expand current knowledge and enhance professional excellence.

Job requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Science/ Medical Technology
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab environment.
• Computer literate, basic knowledge & skills in ULTRA LIS will be an added advantage
• Team player with positive working and learning attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to commit to 5.5 days/week (Including weekends,PH)
• Rotational shifts
