Job summary

innoquest diagnostics pte. ltd. is seeking a Biomedical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues in accordance with MOH regulations and accreditation standards.

You will interpret results, coordinate with HOD, and participate in QA/QC and development of new tests. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Biomedical Science/Medical Technology, has at least 1 year of clinical lab experience, and is proficient with LIS systems (ULTRA LIS

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Science/ Medical Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab environment.
• Computer literate; basic knowledge of ULTRA LIS is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues to provide accurate data for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of disease states.
• Perform routine laboratory test procedures as per SOPs, MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation; adhere to QA/QC.
• Correlate clinical information and previous lab results; discuss discrepancies with HOD.
• Consult with HOD when no preset criteria for decision making is available before taking action.
• Participate in developmental work on new tests.
• Participate in established TQM activities, QC testing of lab reagents and maintenance of equipment.
• Attend and participate in continuing education programs to monitor proficiency and expand knowledge.

• Perform routine laboratory test procedures as outlined in the established SOPs and according to MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation. Adhere to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.
• Correlate clinical information and/or previous lab results and reports discrepancies to HOD.
• Consult with HOD when no preset criteria for decision making are available before taking action
• Participate in developmental work on new tests
• Participate in established TQM activities, QC testing of lab reagents and maintenance of equipment.
• Attend and participates in continuing education programs to monitor proficiency, expand current knowledge and enhance professional excellence.

Job requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Science/ Medical Technology
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab environment.
• Computer literate, basic knowledge & skills in ULTRA LIS will be an added advantage
• Team player with positive working and learning attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to commit to 5.5 days/week (Including weekends,PH)
