Job summary

Camarine Supervision in Singapore is hiring a Mechanical Technician to install, maintain and repair mechanical systems and rotating equipment at Tuas Boulevard Yard. You will read P&ID and GA drawings, perform diagnostics, and support commissioning activities.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' hands-on experience in marine, offshore, shipyard, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors, with strong fault diagnosis skills and strict adherence to LOTO and HSE rules.

Qualifications

• NITEC or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as Mechanical Technician in marine, offshore, shipyard, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sector.
• Hands-on installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, rotating equipment.
• Experience in mechanical commissioning, equipment alignment, function testing and machinery start-up activities.
• Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems with fault diagnosis and repair.
• Willing to work at Tuas Boulevard Yard.
• Able to commence work on short notice or immediately preferred.

Job description

• Installing and maintaining Mechanical systems, equipment, and devices.
• Reading and understanding P&ID, general arrangement drawing, technical manual.
• Repairing or replacing equipment, fixtures, and mechanical parts.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
• Understand Mechanical Commissioning process and operation of machinery.
• Identifying faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in challenging environments (e.g. confined spaces).
• Analysing equipment failures and determining effective, fast repairs.
• Good Attitude, Teamwork player. Problem-solving.
• Strict compliance with yard HSE and safety regulations, including
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Knowing how to operate, maintain and repair machinery, using technical tools, understanding engineering principles

Requirements:
