Private Advertiser seeks an experienced Mechanical Services Engineer for our Singapore team to contribute to high-profile pharmaceutical and life sciences projects for global clients. The role emphasizes HVAC and building services design from concept through detailed design, taking ownership of engineering solutions within multidisciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical building services design experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and related building services.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliverables.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and committed to high-quality engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop HVAC and mechanical services designs across concept, schematic and detailed design stages.
• Prepare design briefs, engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform cooling load calculations, system sizing and HVAC system modelling.
• Undertake hydraulic analysis and sizing of air and water distribution systems.
• Develop HVAC system schematics and design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop Building Management System (BMS) architecture, specifications, control strategies and sequences of operation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Support technical reviews and ensure designs meet project, client and applicable regulatory requirements.

The role will suit a technically strong engineer with solid HVAC and building services design experience who enjoys working within multidisciplinary project teams and taking ownership of engineering solutions from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop HVAC and mechanical services designs across concept, schematic and detailed design stages.

• Prepare design briefs, engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.

• Perform cooling load calculations, system sizing and HVAC system modelling.
