Job summary

Stafflink Services Pte Ltd is recruiting for a hands-on technician to join our client, a US MNC leader in industrial control and power-management, at Joo Koon, Singapore. You will teardown, assemble and test products following SOPs and documented procedures.

In this role you will support process improvements, maintain 5S standards, and promote safety within the team while collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to resolve issues and ensure quality.

Qualifications

  • Understands and follows SOPs and technical instructions.
  • Troubleshoots routine technical product issues.
  • Evaluates product and determines component replacement needs for complex products.
  • Follows 5S lean practices and participates in continuous improvement.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Uses basic computer tools to complete tasks.

Job description

* 5 days Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

* Location: Joo Koon (walking distance from MRT station)

* Permanent role

Our client is a US MNC global leader, industrial control and power-management company, particularly focused on engines, turbines, generators, and electrical power systems

Responsibilities:

  • Teardown, Assembly and Test Product: Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently teardown, assemble and test product using specified tools and equipment, solves problems with known outcomes to meet standards, supports training of other members, and provides improvement opportunities to standard work.

  • Process: Coordinates with appropriate members and cross-functional teams to perform analysis, investigation, work scope of product. Supports training of other members.

  • Quality Control: Participates to improve clarity and accuracy in documented processes and procedures.

  • Organization & Cleanliness: Proactively applies 5S principles, identifies opportunities to improve workstation organization and cleanliness, and ensures compliance with team standards. Assists in implementing new organizational practices as directed.

  • Safety Mindset: Encourages adherence to safety protocols within the team.

Requirements:

  • Technical Capability: Understands and follows technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Troubleshoots routine technical product issues. Evaluates product and determines component replacement needs for complex products.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrates understanding of mechanical systems and components. Can tear down, assemble and test products and setup equipment to support varying processes. Uses hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively. Completes routine changeovers and setups

  • Team Communication: Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors to support workflow and accelerate immediate issues. Demonstrates company's Core Values.

  • Lean Mindset: Follows lean practices such as 5S and waste reduction. Participates in continuous improvement activities. Identifies inefficiencies and suggests improvements.

  • Computer Skills: Uses basic software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, data entry tools) to complete tasks.
