Job summary

CELLA BUILDER (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance technician to maintain and service production equipment, assist with new system installations, and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance, manufacturing, or heavy machinery troubleshooting.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
• Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to work in a workshop/factory environment and perform physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
• Installation & Testing: Assist engineers in installing, assembling, and testing new mechanical systems and prototypes according to engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Technical Support: Diagnose mechanical faults or malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect and test mechanical components to ensure they meet quality standards and operational specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, and spare parts inventory.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Higher Nitec / Nitec in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, manufacturing, or heavy machinery troubleshooting. (Entry-level candidates with strong academic performance may be considered for the lower end of the salary range).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.Proficiency in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers), and diagnostic equipment.Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is a strong advantage.
• Soft Skills: Good problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
• Physical Requirement: Willingness to work in a workshop/factory environment and handle physical tasks as required.
