Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, invites a Mechanical Engineering student to join our Singapore team as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. You will support migration of legacy CAD data and assist ensuring design integrity within Windchill and CREO environments.

You will work under the Senior Development Engineer, collaborate with R&D engineers, and gain hands-on experience with 2D/3D CAD, drawing interpretation, and documentation of migration progress.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software and ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to learn product lifecycle management processes.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy CAD files (2D and 3D) from IDEAS to CREO within Windchill.
• Validate migrated files for accuracy and compatibility with current design standards.
• Re-create 3D models where required to ensure design integrity.
• Document migration progress and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to resolve discrepancies during migration.
