Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to migrate legacy CAD data from IDEAS to CREO within Windchill. You will validate file integrity, recreate 3D models as needed, document progress, and work with R&D engineers to resolve migration issues. Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical/Design/Mechatronics.

This on-site role is based in Singapore and reports to the Senior Development Engineer within the Research & Development Applied team.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of CAD software (CREO preferred)
• Familiarity with 3D modeling principles and file management
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings (dwg)

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy CAD files (2D and 3D) from IDEAS to CREO within Windchill
• Validate migrated files for accuracy and compatibility with current design standards
• Re-create 3D models where required to ensure design integrity
• Document migration progress and report issues promptly
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to resolve discrepancies during migration
