Job summary

SURIYA CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to review and approve mechanical designs, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and oversee installation and commissioning to ensure function and safety.

You will conduct site inspections, manage design changes, and ensure work meets project standards and local codes. This role requires hands-on leadership of water services site work, rapid response to issues, and collaboration with the project

Responsibilities

• Review and approve mechanical designs, making minor amendments as needed.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and the project team to implement approved designs.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper function and safety.
• Conduct site inspections and performance tests to verify mechanical system functionality.
• Maintain documentation of design changes, approvals, and progress.
• Ensure mechanical work is completed on time and meets project quality standards.
• Lead several site teams for site work related to water services such as pipelaying and urgent repair at different locations in Singapore.
• Handle minor public relations matters such as serving notices and responding to minor complaints related to site works.
• Ensure compliance to planned job documents; handle and resolve technical and engineering problems.
• Construction and installation to ensure that all installation must be followed with project specification, design, local code and standards.
• Prepare and attend to client’s inspection and testing requirement/FAT of job in hand when required.
• Other ad-hoc duties deemed fit and necessary by the company.
