Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Singapore to design and develop machines and mechanical systems for semiconductor automation projects. You will collaborate with Electrical, Vision and Software Engineers and often work under tight schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in mechanical engineering, at least 3 years of design experience, and Creo proficiency. Knowledge of vision applications and thermal modelling is a plus, and a hands-on,

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or related technical disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience in semiconductor machines or automation.
• Experience with high-speed pick-and-place systems, die attach machines, or lamination machines is a plus.
• Strong mechanical fundamentals and stack tolerance knowledge.
• Proficiency with Creo is required.
• Experience with vision applications and thermal modelling is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work under tight schedules.
• Willingness to hands-on during development.
• Excellent communication and cross-cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of machines and mechanical systems.
• Planning, scheduling and costing of machines and mechanical modules.
• Create 3D and 2D drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and prepare BOM.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Vision and Software Engineers.
• Work extended hours during critical project phases.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Technical disciplines.

• Minimum 3 years of design experiences in semiconductor machines or automations.

• Experience with Design and Development of High-Speed Pick and Place Systems, Flip Chip Bonders, Die Attach Machines, and Lamination Machine is a definite plus.

• Strong fundamentals in mechanical concepts and problem-solving skills, including knowledge in stack tolerance.

• Proficiency with Creo is a must.

• Experience with vision application, thermal modelling, calculation and measurement techniques would be an advantage.

• Self-motivated individual who is action/results oriented, independent, and flexible, with a passion for developing technical excellence products.

• Willingness to get hands-on during development cycle.

• Excellent communication skills, with cross-cultural awareness and understanding.

• Able to work under tight schedules.

Job Responsibilities:
