Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board - Singapore (Changi Water Reclamation Plant) is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) to join our operations team. The role focuses on implementing maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently, enabling high-quality NEWater production and safe discharge to the sea.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours.
Comfortable working in a used water environment.
Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water processes.
Assist supervisor to procure spares and monitor inventory and expenditures.
Respond to equipment abnormalities and execute SOPs when required.
Utilize Asset Management System for procurement, contract, asset and inventory management.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and equipment reliability.
