Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant. You will contribute to treating used water to produce NEWater and ensure safe discharge, while implementing maintenance strategies to keep critical equipment running safely.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and a good team player.
• Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours.
• Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and contractors to perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance works safely for M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water treatment processes.
• Assist supervisor to procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and utilisation of expenditures
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilise enterprise systems such as the Asset Management System for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability

Education
