Job summary

Koh Brothers Group of Companies is seeking proactive M&E Coordinators to oversee all mechanical and electrical works across infrastructure projects in Singapore. You will ensure plans, drawings, specs and schedules are aligned with project requirements on site in Changi.

The role requires a degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering with at least 3 years of M&E coordination experience, and hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical installations. Fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical works is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in maintaining electrical installations.
• M&E coordination experience is required.
• Good knowledge of site temporary M&E installations.
• Highly proactive, self-motivated, team player with good communication.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Location: Changi.

Responsibilities

• Monitor design progress and submission schedules.
• Review consultant drawings for clashes and missing information.
• Coordinate disciplines by managing drawing schedules and releases.
• Resolve technical issues through clear communication and documentation.
• Identify technical information needed for construction drawings and resolve challenges.
• Prepare and submit required documents (materials, specs, method statements, shop drawings).
• Prepare, implement and test M&E works.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on method statements, shop drawings and samples.
• Coordinate M&E installation works for system-wide contractors in MRT projects.
• Maintain a safe on-site environment and manage work schedules.
• Update construction drawings / issues to subcontractors.
• Capture V.O. works and changes in revised drawings.

Job description

Proactive and experiencedM&E Coordinatorswho will be responsible for coordinating all mechanical and electrical works, ensuring that M&E activities are properly planned, coordinated, and executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, programme and project requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor the consultant's design progress according to the agreed submission and detailed design schedule.

• Review design drawings from consultants, identifying any missing information, design clashes, or issues that may affect construction.

• Ensure coordination between different disciplines by managing the project's drawing schedules and the timely release of drawings for construction

• Address and resolve technical issues raised by construction teams or consultants through clear communication and proper documentation

• Identify key technical information and sections that need to be generated for construction purposes and resolve technical challenges as they arise

• Work with the construction team and subcontractors to prepare and submit required documents for approval, including material submissions, material specifications, method statements, and specialist subcontractor shop drawings.

• Responsible for the preparation, implementation and testing of M & E works.

• Co-ordination with direct and nominated subcontractors on preparation, method statements, shop-drawings and samples. Submissions

• To co-ordinate M&E installation works of system wide contractors in MRT project.

• Ensure and work safe environment at the work site

• Prepare work schedule manage engineering technical issue on site

• Updating all construction drawing / issue to subcon

• Capture all V.O. works and changes in revised drawings

Others Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned by HOD or Management.

• The duties and responsibilities stated may be revised from time to time according to the company’s operational requirements.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering .

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in the infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, experience in electrical works would be an added advantage.

• Hands on experience in maintaining electrical installation.

• Minimum with M&E Coordination experience.

• Good knowledge of site temporary M&E installations.

• Highly proactive attitude, self-motivated, team player, strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Fluent written and spoken English.
