Job summary

Frencken Group in Singapore seeks a Materials Handling and Cleanroom Support Associate to transfer materials in/out of cleanrooms, verify documentation, and support replenishment to maintain production flow.

You'll ensure proper labeling, packaging, and traceability, perform inventory updates, and escalate discrepancies while adhering to 5S and quality procedures in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education or equivalent; NITEC or Higher NITEC preferred.
  • 1–3 years in material handling, warehousing, production support or related roles.
  • Experience in packing, labeling and inventory control is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom practices or contamination-controlled environments preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer raw materials, components, tooling, and WIP into/out of the cleanroom per protocols.
  • Verify materials are identified and accompanied by traveler and documentation before transfer.
  • Support cleanroom material replenishment to avoid production stoppages.
  • Ensure cleanroom entry, packaging, cleaning status and containment are met.
  • Prevent contamination by handling parts carefully to maintain traceability.
  • Perform non-cleanroom packing per customer/quality/shipping requirements.
  • Maintain material traceability and update stock movements in systems.
  • Assist in cycle counts, stock verification, and reconciliation.
  • Escalate discrepancies and damaged components promptly.

As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Cleanroom SupportTransfer raw materials, components, tooling, and WIP into and out of the cleanroom following established cleanroom protocols.Verify all materials are properly identified and accompanied by the correct traveler, route card, or production documentation before transfer.Ensure cleanroom entry requirements are met, including appropriate packaging, cleaning status, and material containment requirements.Support material replenishment activities to ensure uninterrupted production operations within the cleanroom.Segregate and identify non-conforming, quarantined, or hold materials in accordance with quality requirements.Handle products carefully to prevent contamination, damage, mix-up, or loss of traceability.Packing, Labelling & Product IdentificationPerform non-cleanroom packing activities according to customer, quality, and shipping requirements.Ensure all packing materials are in good condition and suitable for product protection.Verify that all required labels, part markings, identification tags, and documentation are correctly applied prior to shipment or transfer.Conduct visual checks to ensure packaging completeness and compliance with work instructions.Report damaged packaging materials, missing labels, or discrepancies for immediate corrective action.Inventory & Traceability ControlMaintain accurate traceability of materials, components, and WIP throughout the production process.Perform material transactions, stock movements, and inventory updates in accordance with company procedures.Assist in cycle counts, stock verification, and inventory reconciliation activities.Ensure physical inventory matches documentation and system records.Support investigation of inventory discrepancies and material shortages.Quality, Safety & ComplianceAdhere to cleanroom gowning requirements, contamination control procedures, and handling standards.Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe material handling practices.Ensure compliance with company Quality Management System (QMS), customer requirements, and applicable work instructions.Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and 5S standards within storage, staging, and packing areas.Escalate material discrepancies, labeling issues, damaged parts, or quality concerns promptly.Continuous Improvement & Team SupportSupport production, warehouse, quality, and logistics teams in achieving operational objectives.Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.Assist with material flow improvements to improve efficiency, traceability, and workplace organization.Support cross-functional activities as assigned by the supervisor.QualificationsSecondary school education, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification.1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehousing, production support, logistics, or cleanroom operations preferred.Basic understanding of manufacturing documentation, travelers, and material traceability requirements.Experience in packing, labelling, and inventory control activities is advantageous.Familiarity with cleanroom practices or contamination-controlled environments is preferred.Basic computer skills for inventory transactions and production record updates.Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions accurately.Strong commitment to product quality, cleanliness, and safety.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Additional InformationWork Environment: Cleanroom and non-cleanroom manufacturing environment with controlled temperature and humidity conditions.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive handling activities, lift and move materials within approved safety limits, and handle precision components carefully to prevent damage or contamination.Work Schedule: Shift work and overtime may be required to support operational requirements.Reports To: Production Supervisor / Cleanroom Supervisor (as applicable)What do we offer?Frencken is characterized by an informal and collegial atmosphere where every individual is important.
