Job description

At CrimsonLogic we put your Career and Well-being first. We are committed to advancing your career through a full spectrum of professional development programs with the support of a strong Total Rewards philosophy that focus on your well being. We believe that by investing in each and every one of our employees' professional and personal growth, we can collectively make a positive impact on the world as we strive for greatness together in a nurturing and inclusive workplace.

Role Purpose(s)

You will lead marketing and communications for an assigned region or market segment, with end-to-end ownership of go-to-market and demand generation, PR and media, budget, and the revenue target. You will manage a small team and report to the Head of Group Marketing & Communications.

CrimsonLogic builds the software that keeps global trade moving through customs and ports. It is a category few people know, yet one the world depends on, and we are now rebuilding it around AI.

The Role

The specific portfolio will be confirmed on appointment, based on your strengths and the needs of the business.

Your primary focus is go-to-market and demand generation: planning, budgeting, resourcing, execution, reporting, and optimisation, directed at building qualified pipeline across our commercial and government customers. You also lead the region’s external presence across media, PR, and messaging.

This is a hands-on role. You lead a small team while remaining close to the work yourself: developing the strategy, building the plans, and delivering the campaigns. You will also help build the templates and playbooks the wider team adopts, piloting them in your own market first.

Where This Leads

This is a lean team, which means real responsibility from the outset and broad exposure to how the function operates. There is scope to take on more over time, earned through delivery rather than tenure.

What You Will Own
  • Go-to-market and demand generation. Own the end-to-end cycle across digital, paid search, content, account-based marketing, and events, from plan and budget through to channel mix and results. You are accountable for pipeline and revenue, and you measure the work on outcomes rather than activity.
  • PR and communications. Lead external communications for your market, including media relations, press, messaging, and any local agency, in coordination with the central communications team.
  • Product marketing. Lead positioning, product launches, and the sales narrative, supported by the competitive intelligence that differentiates us in trade and port technology.
  • Sales enablement. Equip the sales team to win with the right pitch, collateral, and case studies, identifying gaps and addressing them to a high standard.
  • Events and field marketing. Own major industry events and field marketing end to end, from positioning through to measurable results.
  • Team leadership. Lead and develop a small team: setting objectives, supporting development, managing performance, and raising the standard of the team’s work.
  • Performance and optimisation. Own measurement and reporting, including dashboards, attribution, and analysis, and use the findings to improve marketing performance.
  • Budget. Own the marketing budget, allocate it against priorities, and account for the return it delivers.
Who You Are
  • You own the result. You are measured on pipeline, revenue, and adoption, and you manage to those targets. You plan back from the goal and adjust the approach when the numbers are not moving.
  • You work independently. When you encounter something unfamiliar, you research it, test it, and make a decision, then document what worked so others can build on it.
  • You speak your mind. When a strategy is weak or a forecast does not hold up, you say so, to peers and to leadership alike, and you support your position with reasoning. You revise your view when the evidence changes, and you expect the same of others.
  • You hold a high standard. You expect a great deal of yourself and your team, and you see work through until it is right. You give direct feedback, and those around you improve for it.
  • You lead across functions. You align sales, product, and the wider business through influence and credibility rather than authority. You manage upwards and sideways as effectively as you manage your own team.
About the Group Marketing & Communications Team

The Group Marketing & Communications team is small but broad in scope, covering demand generation and go-to-market across our commercial and government customers, in both trade and ports, together with corporate events, internal communications, and PR. Everyone here owns a substantial portfolio rather than a narrow function.

Qualifications

You bring around five to eight years in B2B marketing, ideally with B2G exposure, and a track record of progression from campaign execution to owning strategy and being accountable for pipeline and revenue. You have communications experience across media, PR, and external messaging, and you write well. Product marketing experience is an advantage. Ideally you have run a region, segment, or product line, managed a budget, and led at least one direct report. You are fluent across the marketing stack: demand generation, product marketing, sales enablement, CRM and marketing automation, paid search, and analytics. You are comfortable with data and decisive in your judgement. Experience in technology, supply chain, trade, or government-facing sectors is an advantage, though the ability to learn a complex domain quickly matters more.
