Job summary

CGS International Securities Pte. Ltd. invites a seasoned Market Strategy and Technical Research professional to join our Singapore-based team.

You will develop technical market outlooks focused on Singapore equities, and produce timely research for institutional and non-institutional clients. You will present views via webinars and client briefings, support private wealth and trading desks with actionable ideas, and translate complex signals into clear communications for diverse client

Qualifications

• Strong technical analysis capability, including trend, momentum, chart-pattern, market-breadth and risk-management techniques.
• Sound knowledge of Singapore equities; familiarity with Hong Kong and US markets.
• Ability to produce clear, concise and compliant research and market commentary.
• Confident presentation and client-engagement skills across physical and digital channels.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and ability to work across research, sales, product and marketing teams.
• At least 3 years in market strategy, technical analysis, equity research, sales trading or investment advisory; depth of experience may be calibrated to corporate title.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline. Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely market commentaries, trading ideas and thematic research for institutional and non-institutional clients.
• Monitor price trends, momentum, market breadth, sector rotation, fund flows and macro events to identify opportunities and risks.
• Maintain technical coverage of major indices, sectors, ETFs and selected listed securities.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Strategy and Technical Research

• Develop actionable technical market outlooksand strategies, with primary focus on Singapore equities and relevant regionaland US market developments.
• Produce timely technical strategy reports,market commentaries, trading ideas and thematic research for institutional andnon-institutional clients.
• Monitor price trends, momentum, marketbreadth, sector rotation, fund flows and key macro events to identifyopportunities and risks.
• Maintain technical coverage of major indices,sectors, ETFs and selected listed securities.

Client Engagement and Thought Leadership

• Present market views through webinars,seminars, market talks, client briefings, videos and media engagements.
• Support Private Wealth, Retail Broking,Trading Representatives and other client-facing teams with relevant marketinsights and investment ideas.
• Translate complex technical signals intoclear, practical and balanced communications for different client segments.

SGX and External Collaboration

• Collaborate with SGX on investor education,market outreach, product launches and research-led engagement initiatives.
• Provide technical analysis on underlyingsecurities, indices or market themes supporting exchange-traded and structuredproducts, including ETFs, SDRs and DLCs where relevant.
• Work with asset managers, issuers and productpartners on joint research, market talks, roadshows and educational content.

Cross-Functional Business Support

• Partner with Research, Sales, Product,Marketing, Digital Wealth, Private Wealth, Asset Management and other businessunits on client and business initiatives.
• Contribute research content for campaigns,digital channels and strategic projects while observing research independenceand applicable compliance requirements.

Requirements:

Mandatory skills

• Strong technical analysis capability,including trend, momentum, chart-pattern, market-breadth and risk-managementtechniques.
