Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Markets Risk professional to monitor and manage risk across metals trading portfolios in Singapore. The role focuses on P&L attribution, risk reporting, and ensuring accurate mark-to-market calculations in collaboration with front-office, IT and risk teams.

You will oversee risk controls, monitor exposures against limits, and contribute to system enhancements for risk reporting and trading strategies in a dynamic global commodities environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of market risk experience in commodities.
• Metals trading exposure is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with ETRM/CTRM systems, trade capture, risk reporting.
• Knowledge of P&L attribution, valuation curves, and risk limits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily trading positions, market risk exposures and P&L attribution across metals trading portfolios, ensuring accurate risk reporting.
• Oversee trade capture, pricing and valuation curves, and mark-to-market calculations to ensure accurate representation of trading positions.
• Monitor trading activities against approved risk limits, identifying and escalating potential breaches, valuation discrepancies and unusual exposures.
• Collaborate with traders, IT and Risk Management teams to enhance ETRM/CTRM systems, improve risk reporting processes and support new trading products and strategies.

Job Description

• Monitor daily trading positions, market risk exposures and P&L attribution across metals trading portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely risk reporting.
• Oversee trade capture, pricing and valuation curves, and mark-to-market calculations to ensure accurate representation of trading positions.
• Monitor trading activities against approved risk limits, identifying and escalating potential breaches, valuation discrepancies and unusual exposures.
• Collaborate with traders, IT and Risk Management teams to enhance ETRM/CTRM systems, improve risk reporting processes and support new trading products and strategies.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 3 years of market risk experience within the commodities trading industry, with metals trading exposure considered a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of physical commodities and derivatives trading, including trading positions, hedging activities and associated market risks.
• Hands-on ETRM/CTRM system experience, including trade capture, risk reporting, system configuration or enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of P&L attribution, position and exposure monitoring, pricing curves, valuation methodologies and trading risk limits.
