Job summary

IMD Info-communications Media Development Authority seeks a policy-focused professional to assess IMDA’s regulated markets and contribute to licensing policy and regulatory frameworks, aligning with the nation’s digital economy goals.

You will evaluate data centre and cloud licences, work with IMDA teams and other government agencies, and ensure licensing conditions promote strategic objectives while addressing industry needs.

Qualifications

• Background in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration or Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• At least 2 years of work experience in telecommunications, postal, data centre and/or cloud computing sectors, or related sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review licensing policy and regulatory frameworks for telecommunications, digital infrastructure and postal sectors, considering IMDA’s objectives and consumer interests.
• Evaluate licences from data centre operators and cloud service providers, aligning with IMDA’s digital infrastructure strategy.
• Collaborate with other IMDA teams and government agencies on Singapore’s digital infrastructure across economic, security, resilience and sustainability domains.
• Implement licensing frameworks and ensure conditions on licensees meet strategic objectives.
• Handle industry queries on licensing-related matters.
