Qualifications

• Technical qualification or marine engineering background (seagoing or shore-based).
• Proven experience in ship operations or fleet management in a shore-based role.
• Familiarity with maritime regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class, Flag).

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned vessels to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient performance.
• Prepare and manage operational and technical budgets for assigned vessels.
• Lead and support technical superintendents and operational staff.
• Coordinate and ensure successful completion of audits and inspections.
• Serve as the main point of contact for technical issues.

Skills

Technical qualification or marine engineering background

Proven experience in ship operations or fleet management

Familiarity with maritime regulations

Strong leadership and communication skills

Good understanding of budget management

Proficient in shipmanagement software

Willing to travel or attend vessels when required
