Job summary

Direct Search Global is seeking a Commercial Executive for our shipyard client to drive business development and manage commercial activities from enquiry through tender submission and contract execution.

You will coordinate with engineering, production and procurement teams, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, monitor project costs and support post-award handover to ensure successful project delivery in a dynamic marine environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a maritime or business discipline.
• 3–5 years in commercial, sales or tendering in shipyards or marine sectors.
• Understanding of shipyard operations, contracts and costing.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and tender packages.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue shipyard opportunities in construction, repair and upgrades.
• Develop relationships with maritime clients and manage enquiries.
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement and project teams.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and deliverables with customers.
• Review contracts and highlight risks to management.
• Monitor tender progress and assist with award pursuit.
• Support handover of awarded contracts to project teams.
• Manage commercial matters during project execution and claims.
• Track costs, milestones and billing; maintain records.
