Job summary

NAVAL GROUP FAR EAST PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an on-site technician to maintain and repair automation machinery on vessels, perform diagnostics, install navigational equipment, and update ship management software to ensure reliability and safety.

You will troubleshoot software issues, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with QHSE policies, while working in a shipyard environment and commuting regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics and electrical systems applicable to marine equipment.
• Experience with marine navigational or electronic systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel to both Eastern and Western Regions of Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automation machinery on board vessels to ensure reliability.
• Perform diagnostic checks on automated systems to identify faults and optimize performance.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of navigational equipment for vessel operations.
• Conduct software checks and update ship management systems to maintain functionality.
• Troubleshoot software issues on ship management systems to restore system integrity.
• Monitor project progress and maintain project schedules for timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and company QHSE policies.
• Interpret electronic, PLC ladder, and system diagrams to support maintenance and troubleshooting.
