Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit theory, power distribution, control systems and marine electrical standards.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a demanding environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail when faults occur.
• Excellent communication and proactive teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing electrical maintenance routines (preventive & corrective).
• Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations.
• Maintain logs and documentation for maintenance activities and upgrades.
• Support vessel readiness through scheduled maintenance, refits and overhauls.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures during onboard electrical work.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems.
