Job summary

MS MARINE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Inspector with welding and NDT knowledge to perform incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections according to specifications. You will generate inspection plans, compile QA documentation, and liaise with classification societies to ensure compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in oil & gas or shipyard environments, proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD, and willingness to travel overseas. Strong communication and meticulous work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma/Degree in Engineering with PCN Certification or equivalent.
• CSWIP3.1 or AWS-CWI certification advantageous.
• Knowledge of NDT/Hull Visual/UT/MP/DT inspections is a plus.
• At least 2 years in oil & gas, fabrication, welding or shipyard.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Good communication, meticulous and result oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Willing to travel overseas.
• Physically fit and willing to learn.

The Job:

Responsible to perform incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections according to their specifications and standards

Generate inspection & test plans and quality assurance plans to meet customer requirement

Prepare and compile all inspection reports after the completion of site inspection with detailed drawings of the location of each inspection

Review and compile inspection delivery documents to ensure their completeness and accuracy

Liaise with classification societies and owners on various inspection activities and issues

Implement and work in accordance with quality management system procedures

Perform all other duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree holder in Engineering field with PCN Certification or its equivalent
• Those with hands on experience in welding Inspection with CSWIP3.1 or AWS-CWI certification /quality control activities will be a plus
• Knowledge on Non-Destructive Testing/Hull Visual/Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging/Magnetic Particle Inspection/Dye Penetrant Testing inspections, etc will be an added advantage
• At least 2 years working experience in an oil & gas, fabrication, welding or shipyard environment
• Proficiency in MS Office application and AutoCAD software
• Good communication skills
• Meticulous and result oriented
• Ability to multi task between projects and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Physically fit & having a willing to learn and work attitude
• Can work long hours and operationally ready as required
• Overseas travelling is required
