Job summary

Seatrium Limited seeks a Marine Structural Engineer to perform analysis and designs of ships, offshore platforms and subsea structures., using FEA tools to assess stress, fatigue and dynamics. The role involves developing models, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with marine codes and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support construction and installation phases, and stay updated with advances in marine structural engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with structural analysis of offshore wind turbines, oil & gas platforms, subsea structures and marine vessels.
• Strong knowledge of marine structural codes and standards (DNV GL, ABS, ISO).
• Proficiency in using FEA software such as DNV Sesam, ANSYS, ABAQUS, or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Performs structural analysis and designs of marine structures such as ships and offshore platforms.
• Utilize advanced FEA tools for stress, fatigue, and dynamic analyses.
• Develop and validate structural models to simulate performance under loading conditions.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project designs.
• Support construction, installation, and operation phases.
