Job summary

FUJI HORIGUCHI ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a skilled Marine Service Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis based in the Taman Jurong West Region. You will provide expert technical support, conduct preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensure operational efficiency of marine systems across our portfolio.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in marine maintenance, strong knowledge of propulsion, hydraulics and electrical systems, and proficiency with marine

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in marine equipment maintenance and repair within the maritime or offshore industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems etc.
• Proficiency in using marine maintenance software, diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and engineering specifications
• Sound understanding of marine industry regulations, safety standards and best practice maintenance procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work methodically under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for on-site maintenance and service calls
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance of marine equipment and systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot marine equipment faults using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools
• Conduct preventative maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan
• Execute corrective repairs on marine systems including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and auxiliary equipment
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of all service activities and repairs undertaken
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns to restore operational capability
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice on maintenance best practices
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with marine industry standards, regulations and company safety protocols
• Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and technical documentation

About the role

FUJI HORIGUCHI ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a skilled Marine Service Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in the Taman Jurong West Region, this role is critical to maintaining the reliability and performance of our marine engineering systems and equipment.
