Job summary

Talent-Merge in Singapore is seeking a procurement specialist to source marine equipment, obtain quotations from approved vendors, and issue purchase orders to support vessel operations.

You will liaise with vessel personnel, technical teams, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery, monitor open orders, and maintain accurate procurement records. Experience in marine procurement and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in supply chain or related field.
• At least 2 years in purchasing/procurement; marine industry preferred.
• Knowledge of marine spare parts and supplier sourcing.
• Proficient with procurement/ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure marine equipment and vessel supplies.
• Obtain quotations from approved vendors for competitive pricing.
• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders on time.
• Clarify specifications with vessel personnel and internal teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners for timely delivery.
• Monitor open orders and address shortages and discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier information in the system.
• Evaluate supplier performance on price, quality, and delivery.
• Support cost-control with alternative suppliers and substitutes.
• Assist with invoice verification and resolve pricing or quantity discrepancies.
