Job summary

ST Engineering Marine invites applications for an Assistant Mechanical Engineer - Ship Repairs (Gul Base). Based at Gul Base with occasional duties at BraniBase and Benoi Yard, you will join a maintenance team to ensure fleet availability and oversee planned maintenance.

You will troubleshoot systems onboard vessels, supervise workers, and coordinate with suppliers and the Owner Representative on maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NTC in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related.
• Knowledge in Mechanical, Engines and Electrical principles.
• Proficient in using hand tools and measuring devices.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to work onboard vessels in sun and during weekends/odd-hours.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a maintenance team ensuring fleet availability.
• Manage planned maintenance activities.
• Conduct troubleshooting of systems onboard vessels.
• Supervise and guide workers in maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors when required.
• Coordinate with Owner Rep on maintenance issues.
• Any tasks as directed by Site Manager.
