Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd is seeking a Ship Repair Manager to lead maintenance planning and repairs, ensuring the ship remains operationally ready. You will coordinate with trades, control costs, and uphold safety standards to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires a Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture background, a certificate in ship repair safety, and strong leadership and communication abilities. This position is based in Changi with a 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Marine / Mechanical / Naval Architecture Engineering required.
• Possess Supervise Safety Instruction for Ship Repair Manager Certificate.
• Knowledge in SAP is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willing to work late and on weekends when required.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, outcome driven, organized and strong team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all maintenance works timely to uphold ship's operational readiness (plan and execute repair work, review costs and reports).
• Conduct VSCC and take charge of ship work safety and cleanliness.
• Liaise with trades on work activities and monitor effort and productivity to achieve progress safely, within schedule and budget.
