Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Marine Service Engineer (EIA) to support retrofit and decarbonization projects on board vessels. You will perform electrical, automation and instrumentation work, conduct surveys, facilitate commissioning, and assist with class surveys and compliance documentation.

The role involves heavy field work, risk assessment, and coordination with shipyards and vessel crews, with travel to overseas sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with shipboard electrical, automation and instrumentation systems.
• Ability to perform load analysis, protection coordination and PLC-based troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with marine safety rules and interface coordination with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Attend vessels for surveys, inspections, installation support and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot shipboard electrical, automation and instrumentation systems on-site.
• Support retrofit projects including energy efficiency and decarbonization efforts.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping and shipyard teams and document activities.
