Job summary

The National University of Singapore's Acoustic Research Laboratory at Kent Ridge Campus is seeking a Research Engineer/Associate to develop and test algorithms for underwater acoustics and marine robotics. You will collaborate with engineers to create systems, plan field trials, collect and process data, and contribute to reports, publications and patents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Masters or equivalent degree in machine learning / computer vision
• Experience with marine robotics is desirable but not mandatory
• Experience with practical machine learning (for computer vision preferred)
• Strong scientific programming skills (experience with Julia or Python programming languages preferred)
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Interest in practical implementation & field work (at sea)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to develop, implement & test ML/vision algorithms
• Assist in planning and conducting field trials and data collection
• Process data and write results in internal/external reports, publications and patents
