Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in vessel dynamics, hydrodynamic modelling, or autonomous control systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C++ for modelling and simulation.
• Fundamental understanding of machine learning concepts and applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research activities under the Maritime Systems Division, incl. data-driven modelling of vessel motion prediction and SHM.
• Support model-scale experimental campaigns in the TCOMS ocean basin, incl. test execution and data processing.
• Develop and maintain LabVIEW applications for DAQ, real-time monitoring, sensor visualization, and automated testing workflows.
• Design and configure sensor instrumentation systems for data measurement and monitoring.
• Assist in executing tasks under research grants and industry projects.
• Collaborate with industry partners and affiliates to contribute to grant proposals aligning with strategic goals.
