Job summary

Talent Trace Pte. Ltd. has partnered with a Singapore-based dry bulk vessel owner to hire a Marine Accounting & Operations Manager for their Chartering team. You will report directly to the General Manager of Chartering.

The role requires deep knowledge of dry bulk operations, strong marine accounting skills, and proficiency with IMOS to manage voyage P&L and cost controls. Excellent English and negotiation abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in dry bulk vessel operations with a strong marine accounting focus, including accruals.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of charterparties and dry bulk carrier operations.
• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Maritime Studies, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Run daily vessel operations across the company's owned and chartered fleet.
• Prepare accurate voyage P&L reports and support monthly/quarterly accruals with accounts team.
• Verify vessel operation data entries into IMOS are accurate and timely.
• Track and report daily operational cash inflows and outflows (hire statements, freight bills, demurrage/despatch, port DAs, costs).
• Report chartering exposure and P&L in IMOS weekly with accounts team.

We’re Hiring: Marine Accounting & Operations Manager | Dry Bulk | Singapore

Our client, an established dry bulk vessel owner and operator in Singapore, is looking for a Marine Accounting & Operations Manager to join their Chartering team. You'll report directly to the General Manager of Chartering.

This role suits someone who knows dry bulk operations well and is just as comfortable with the numbers behind every voyage.

What you'll be doing

• Running daily vessel operations across the company's owned and chartered fleet
• Preparing accurate, timely voyage P&L reports and supporting monthly and quarterly accruals with the accounts team
• Checking that operators enter vessel operation data into IMOS accurately and on time
• Tracking and reporting daily operational cash inflows and outflows by reviewing hire statements, freight bills, demurrage/despatch, port DAs and other operating costs
• Reporting chartering exposure and P&L in IMOS every week, working with the accounts team

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in dry bulk vessel operations with a strong marine accounting focus, including accruals
