Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to support all stages of production, from setup to final assembly, in a cleanroom environment.

You will work with engineers to optimize processes, run software to analyze data for on-line adjustments, and participate in Kaizen and 6S activities. The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing and a Diploma in Engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Comfortable in a cleanroom and follows safety procedures.
• Hands-on with sub-assemblies, soldering, and chemical solutions.
• Flexible to work shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with all manufacturing operations, including setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing for parts and assemblies.
• Utilize advanced software to collect and analyze operating data for on-line adjustments.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop methods to optimize and control manufacturing processes.
• Work with engineers to conduct experiments and implement process improvements.
• Participate in abnormality detection to identify and resolve issues in production.
• Drive improvements in production yield, scrap reduction and OBQ performance.
• Contribute Kaizen ideas and engage in Small Group Activities (SGA).
• Participate in 6S activities to maintain a clean, organized, efficient workplace.
