Job summary

Wieland Metals Singapore Pte Ltd. seeks a skilled technician to support metal-processing operations in our Singapore facility. You will follow the production plan, operate complex rolling and finishing equipment, and perform in-process measurements to maintain quality.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering, at least 3 years in metal manufacturing, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. English proficiency, shift flexibility, and knowledge of TPM/5S are valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in metal industry (cold rolling, strip annealing, pickling, leveling or slitting).
• Committed, self-starter and team player.
• Good at analyzing and solving problems.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Willingness to learn and educate others.
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime on weekdays/weekends.
• LEAN management knowledge (TPM, 5S & OEE) preferred.
• Microsoft Office knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work according to production plan and maintain operational efficiency.
• Operate complex machinery following established procedures.
• Carry out in-process measurements, maintain product quality and report deviations.
• Comply with safety and ISO procedures, rules and regulations.
• Participate in 5S & TPM improvement initiatives.
• Monitor inventory stock to ensure enough stock to run production.
• Complete assigned tasks within agreed time and minimize waste of resources.
• Understand customer requirements and provide relevant services to achieve results.
• Take responsibility for the outcome of assigned work and act with integrity.
• Collaborate with others at all levels and contribute ideas.
• Do not avoid conflict; seek solutions through constructive feedback and active listening.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Diploma holder in Engineering discipline

• Minimum 3 years of experience in metal industry (Cold rolling mill, Strip annealing, Pickling, Levelling or Slitting machines)

• Committed, self-starter and team player

• Good in analyzing and solving problems

• Able to read, write and speak in English

• Willingness to learn and educate others

• Ability to work in rotating shifts and perform overtime on weekdays and weekends

• Knowledge of LEAN management (TPM, 5S & OEE) is preferred

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is an added advantage
