Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a manufacturing technician to assemble electro/optical sub-systems, calibrate and test components, and perform final integration of instruments. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, GMP, Lean, and 6S practices to ensure high-quality product output.

Qualifications

  • Experience in FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, ECOs, GMP, 5S and Lean is a plus.
  • Ability to follow quality procedures and respond to quality data concisely.
  • Must identify components/colors (yellow, blue, red, brown) visually during operations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing sub-systems alignment, calibration, functional test, troubleshooting, instrument final integration and system test.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products under general supervision.
  • Assemble electro/optical/mechanical sub-systems that require calibration and functional test according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting on components and integrated systems.
  • Align complex optical systems with aid of in-house software and instruments.
  • Assemble and align laser-based equipment and perform functional tests.
  • Perform instrument final integration and full system test.
  • Perform final product QC procedures, inspection, and packaging.
  • Perform data collection and analysis.
  • Perform work order processing to complete products to inventory.
  • Interpret and respond to quality data.
  • Understand manufacturing workflow and create/update work instructions.
  • Support Continuous Improvement, 6S and Lean activities.
  • Support material kitting, packaging, and crating activities (when required).
  • Perform transactions in MES and ERP systems (SAP) according to the work instructions.
  • Identify, report and initiate non-conformance in NC platform.
  • Execute containment and assign task in NC platform.
  • Coordinate with Equipment Team on scheduled equipment and tool maintenance.
  • Perform periodic inventory check and cycle count activities.
  • Provide training as per WI and OJT form and assess trainee OJT competency.
  • Able to identify components with different colors (using visual).

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 – 4 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in fast-paced corporate environments which involved responsibility for similar work.
  • Experience with FDA regulated medical device manufacturing.
  • Awareness of compliance and safety requirements.
  • Possesses good verbal skills with supervisors and colleagues along with written skills to provide concise information in writing.
  • Experience with SOPs, travelers, ECOs, GMP, 5S and Lean is a plus.
  • Must be able to identify different colors (yellow, blue, red & brown) for work purposes in Illumina, we handle components/chemicals with different colors, and it is necessary to be able to differentiate and identify the correct components/chemicals (using visual) during operation.
Preferred Education:
  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic) or equivalent required preferred.
