Job summary

edwards lifesciences (singapore) pte. ltd. is seeking a Diploma-qualified engineer to support documentation and manufacturing processes. You will operate essential software to update records and participate in experiments for process improvement.

Responsibilities include compiling archival documentation, collaborating with engineers and technicians, and assisting with training materials for production. Fresh diploma graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Engineering fields relevant to manufacturing.
• Strong command of MS Office and good English communication.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manufacturing software (e.g., JDE, QMS, PLM) to update documentation in systems.
• Execute experiments and tests following protocols to develop findings for validation and improvement of equipment and processes; analyze results and prepare reports for Engineering review.
• Compile documentation for archives including ECRs, SOPs, drawings, and tooling for Engineering approval.
• Consult with Engineers, Technicians, and Assemblers on processes to execute experiments or production runs; support equipment investigations and rework as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop training and documentation for production to enable knowledge transfer of projects and processes.
• Other incidental duties (e.g. photocopying or deliveries).

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize manufacturing software (e.g., JDE, QMS, PLM) to update documentation in systems
• Execute experiments and tests (following protocols) to develop findings for the validation and improvement of equipment and manufacturing processes/methods based on engineering principles; analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports for Engineering review. Operate a variety of test equipment to assess characteristics of the manufacturing environment
• Compile documentation for archives to ensure appropriate documentation for development work, including ECRs, SOPs, drawings, and tooling, for Engineering approval
• Consult with Engineers, Technicians, and Assemblers on processes to execute experiments and/or production runs. Support related to equipment investigations, testing, objective evidence of product dispositions and rework support work necessary.
• Collaborate with Engineering in the development of training and documentation materials (e.g., work instructions) for production to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes.
• Other incidental duties (e.g. occasional photocopying or deliveries)

Education and Experience:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Biomedical / Chemical / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering

Additional Skills:

• Excellent computer skills required, including experience with MS Office Suite
• Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English, and good communication skills required
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environment
• Strict attention to detail
