Job summary

Legrand Singapore is seeking a highly motivated intern to assist the Process Engineer in driving productivity and improvements across the production floor. You will support process audits, optimize workstation layouts, and participate in Industry 4.0 initiatives to enhance efficiency.

In this hands-on role, you will gain exposure to manufacturing processes, contribute to SOPs for new products, and help identify cost-saving opportunities while developing practical engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in manufacturing processes, productivity improvement, and process optimization.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and suggest improvements
• Willingness to participate in new product development, including assembly and tooling setup.
• Good documentation skills, including writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Responsibilities

• Productivity improvement: review and improve product cycle times and optimize workstation layouts.
• Process audit/yield improvement: identify critical parameters and conduct regular audits for compliance and performance.
• New product involvement: support development, assembly and tooling setup, and SOPs for new products.
• Other improvement projects: research Industry 4.0 technologies to drive productivity and cost savings.
