Job summary

Legrand in Tuas, Singapore, is seeking a Production Technician to support daily manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and assemble first-article prototypes based on engineering designs. You will maintain critical production data, review BOMs, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001-2015 while delivering high-quality products for power and thermal management.

This role offers exposure to electromechanical assembly and opportunities to work with ERP

Qualifications

• NiTEC/Diploma in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level troubleshooting and resolve production stoppages to maintain smooth process flow.
• Support Manufacturing Engineer in continuous improvement and optimization projects.
• Lead and coordinate prototype build requests for completeness and scheduling.
• Build and assemble prototype products according to design requirements.
• Review BOMs and ERP data for accuracy prior to production release.
• Coordinate with Production to identify correct material and routing.
• Ensure proper material usage and compliance with issuing procedures.
• Create and maintain work instructions for prototypes.
• Initiate corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design-for-assembly considerations.
• Communicate status updates and maintain documentation per retention policy.
• Adhere to ISO 9001-2015 and company policies.
• Support ad-hoc duties as assigned.
