Job summary

Alstern Marine & Offshore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations and planning. You will align production schedules with customer demand, manage resources, and drive cost effectiveness.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 5 years in manufacturing, with strong analytics, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial operations.
• Experience in operational planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, ISO standards, and workplace safety regulations.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations to achieve targets in productivity, quality, cost, capacity, and delivery.
• Develop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand and business priorities.
• Manage production scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation to optimize utilization.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs and implement improvement actions.
• Plan and control materials and inventory for raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
• Collaborate with Procurement to ensure timely materials supply and resolve constraints.
• Coordinate with Sales and other functions to align capacity with delivery commitments.
• Develop and refine operating procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Monitor costs, material usage, waste, and expenses; drive cost-control initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement programs targeting process optimization and productivity gains.
• Ensure QA/QC standards and safety requirements are followed.
• Investigate issues using root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
