The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for leading and managing the overall manufacturing operations, including Production, Industrial Engineering, and Warehouse functions.
The Manufacturing Lead will drive production performance, operational excellence, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing organisation. The role will oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities and optimize capacity, manpower, equipment utilization, production flow, cycle time, material movement, and overall operational efficiency, while ensuring production targets and customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead the production teams on the production line to enhance the productivity including but not limited to:
- Maximization of daily output
- Maintenance of 6S Discipline at the working environment.
- Prepare production schedule and plans based on customer demands and manage the movement of production WIP and finished goods based on the disposition given by Engineering or Quality team.
- Prepare periodical reports on the WIP status and output finished good to the management.
- Effective resource management, such as deployment of manpower, cross-training, raw material management, and allocation of machines, to meet the business need.
- Provide training and guidance to the line personnel through collaboration with Engineering Teams or other internal teams.
- Establish the necessary procedures and document controls to meet the requirement of quality
- system, ensure followed by line personnel and attend internal and external audit activities.
- Enforce line discipline, lead investigation on the quality, safety or other issues attribute to the line personnel and produce the report in 8D or other format.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing operations, preferably within the semiconductor packaging or advanced packaging industry.
- Proven experience in production management, capacity planning, manpower planning, productivity improvement, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, SPC, OEE, process control, quality systems, FMEA, OCAP, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead and develop large, cross-functional teams, manage shift operations, and drive a strong culture of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Demonstrated track record in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
